Excerpt from the festival website:

The Red Ants Pants Music Festival was founded in 2011. It is designed to bring people together and is a program of the 501(c)(3) Red Ants Pants Foundation. The non-profit is dedicated to women’s leadership, working family farms and ranches, and rural communities. They use proceeds from the festival to fund the grant cycle and run their timber skills and women’s leadership programming. The festival was founded and is produced by Red Ants Pants owner Sarah Calhoun. Yes, a little Made in the USA pants company started a music festival. Not the usual path for small business, but why not?

This festival is 100% home grown and run by an incredibly dedicated crew of hard working staff. They are joined every July by dozens of friends and family that round out their 90-strong festival staff. Throw in 250 festival volunteers and this makes for a lot of hard work to pull off a pretty fantastic celebration. They have been named the 2018 Event of the Year by the Montana Office of Tourism and Business Development.
